"We're just happy that this year (the festival) is happening,"

  • Mounts, which can be an essential means of transport in the huge world of Classic wow gold Azeroth, are becoming a popular part of the MMO experience: some players collect as many as you can whilst others lust after super rare ones.

In Q1 2021, Blizzard will be adding a brand new mount to the game -- and now players get to select which one of five concepts it'll be. Blizzard's art group has yet to finalise the next bracket, and the layout with the most votes globally will soon be added to the game in a subsequent patch.

    The five theories are:

Wandering Historical -- Maybe not all ancients are interested in warfare or lore, some just need to travel the world! A large and leafy mount, the Wandering Ancient invites you to climb aboard and catch ahold of its branches as you embark on a lumbering expedition.

Soaring Spelltome -- In the forgotten depths of the Dalaran library, this oversize tome was found flapping madly round the room. Open the pages of the arcane-infused book and hitch a ride to magical adventure. Some were captured by the Argent Crusade and turned by their own allies in the Ebon Blade. Their spidery claws are put to use as mounts, skittering through the frozen tundra of Icecrown in pursuit of the rampaging undead.

Curious Caterpillar -- A curious caterpillar found its way into the Heartland at Valley of the Four Winds one night and gorged itself on the oversized vegetables. The Pandaren of all Halfhill awoke the next morning to locate the crops half-eaten and an enormous, slumbering caterpillar one of them. Too big to become a butterfly, this friendly pig is just the correct size to train as a mount. Dressed as shamans, elves and knights, the gaming lovers took part in competitions and games in a forest in Kamyk nad Vltavou, south of Prague, but the typical live-action battle was scrapped due to a low turnout.

The annual spring festival generally draws up to 200 fans but organisers said turnout was only about 60 this year following the delay brought on by coronavirus lockdowns at Europe.

"We're just happy that this year (the festival) is happening," said Eliska Pabl Kaplanova, one of the organisers. "So this year it is a smaller stage."

The internet role-playing game has become a cultural phenomenon since launch in 2004, with millions of players worldwide.

Jaroslav Racek, a policeman daily, said he had been making his seventh visit to the Czech event and he it was a chance to be immersed in something different. "A person could love himself in this world and not simply sit in a computer"
